Day 4 Night, a new game studio founded by Christian Cantamessa, the lead designer and writer of "Red Dead Redemption," and Davide Soliani, the creative director of "Super Mario + Wario" series, has announced its establishment. The studio aims to create "boundary-breaking narrative and gameplay design" content and is currently developing an original game.
Day 4 Night has received its first round of funding led by KRAFTON with investment from Ed Fries' 1Up Ventures, one of the founders of Xbox.
"As I entered my early career, I fell in love with electronic games that told unprecedented stories and created worlds that could change people's lives," Cantamessa said in a press release. "Day 4 Night is a return to this innovative spirit, pureness, and unlimited creativity."
Soliani added: "What we have created at Day 4 Night is everything as a player I desire to experience - joy, adventure, poetry, action, surprise, fun while working together with friends It is like lullaby for my soul and a tribute to the magic of creating worlds from scratch.”
Cantamessa and Soliani are joined by co-founders Cristina Nava,Gian Marco Zanna,and Luca Breda who have previously worked on IP projects including "Super Mario + Wario,” “Just Dance,”“Ghost Recon,”and “Star Wars.”
